Alignment issue (See also: pulls to the left)
Ok. So I got a brand new set of Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S 215/45/18.
They also aligned my Sharky. It took them 2 hours, but what the heck, it's free.
(My car was manufactured on 16 OCT. so I also mentioned the "Possible No Start" TSB and the assistant service manager ordered the relays for me, so I dont get this problem in the future)
Car drives smooth now, I mean it doesn't pull anymore, not even a bit.
I put almost 120 miles on it yesterday and I love those tires, they stick to the road like glue. It's even hard to spin them on dry surface. I also noticed that the car doesn't wheel hop anymore when I step on it a bit (before it was like a pain in the neck, faster start=jumping car).
This morning I wake up, look out the window and my smile goes away...its SNOWING AGAIN IN CHICAGO!!!!
These tires handle great in snow, I mean GREEEEAAAAT, comparing to the stock Dunlops.
You can actually leave the green light within 1 second, no spinning.
Guys go to the service at your dealer and fight for your set of Pirellis!!
ok heres the update
i went to my appointment with Goodyear today. original test drive, car pulled to the left (nothing new) they swithed my 2 front tires (left front to right front and vice versa) the guy test drove it came back and asked me to go test drive i did and the damn car drove straight as an arrow
He is gonna be in contact with Dunlop and try and get me a new pair n e ways.
Any ideas as to why when the tires were flipped the car didnt pull in the opposite direction?
Another update on Dunlop's decision within a week.

It took it almost 5-6 miles to do so. Then after another 20-30 miles the car started to pull to the left again. Weird like hell. Alignment + tires issue in my case.
Make sure you're on the perfectly straight road when you check it.
I go to Max Madsen Mitsubishi on Ogden Ave in Downers Grove.
It's a 20 mile drive from where I live, but it's worth it.
If you go there, look at the board to your right of the front desk window.
You will see the board with pictures of people working there. The assistant manager is the most helpful one. The general manager is always trying to talk things over and tell you that there is no problem with your car...it's because the road are uneven
Tell him you want new tires...because they are the problem and thats it!

Legally, yes.
Granted, if it's a dealership you've never dealt with before, they'll either a) be really nice to get a new customer or b) treat you like crap because you won't bring in any money.
Good luck, either way.

Just fyi...
My 08 drifts to the left. Brought it to Mitsu, they did an alignment. Still drifts left. Told them it is a camber issue and that they need to install a camber kit for me. They said their alignment machine was mis-calibrated the last time and they would try realigning it. They realigned and it still pulls left.
Emailed them again...will wait and see...hopefully a (no-charge) camber kit this time.
Left camber is +0.1, right is -0.2 from their alignment sheet...

dealership said the same thing when they couldn't get my 2002 Lancer to drive straight! Took them a week to "get the rack fixed and realign my car" while I got a rental....
Does anyone else that have received new tires have a copy of their invoices that they can put up? It would be great. I have the same issue and i'm about to talk to the dealership about this. But I wanted proof and evidence just in case they dont give me new tires. I've already gotten my tires rotated and today I'm gonna get it aligned. Probably not going to help.
Btw, I'm from Canada. Has anyone in Canada receive new tires for this "pulling to the left" issue???? Seems like its only in the states thats giving new tires.
Thanks
