egg smell?
i pulled a code today and it said i needed to replace my first 1st o2 sensor. than the guy that pulled my code for me said its my coilovers. i was like ummm i really doubt that. he still insisted it was my coilovers.
i know for a fact its not the coilovers. is the egg smell coming from a bad o2 sensor? thanks

What I would do, if you wanna do it yourself and not bring it to a shop is.
Throw some injector cleaner in there, clean up the injectors and o2 sensors (sometimes works, sometimes is a temp fix) I start with this when I'm not the shop scan tool and get an O2 code. If that doesent work, replace the o2 sensor.
Bank1 bank 2 refer to what cylinder head its on, so we have a 4 cyl so it would be bank 1, the 2nd number refers to what o2 sensor itself is. 1 is the 1st one, in the manifold, 2 is the one after the cat converter, it can also be called a "cat efficianty sensor". If that doesent work, inspect your spark plugs, see if they look okie. Actually, you know what, do that 1st. lol
And if all else fails, replace the coilpacks and the two wires.
BTW after you perform each task, dissconnect the battery for a lil while- cheapo way of resetting the light.
goodluck ^_^

I have a catted TBE. You don't lose nearly as much power as people think and in all likeliness, you don't lose any at all. I'm pretty sure our local tuner/subaru god did some comparisons between catted and catless and unless you go with a massive turbo, the difference is so minor you couldn't possibly notice it.
There's no proof that you gain 5whp though, people have just the assumption that a cat is a restriction thus they need to get rid of it. I suspect that the flow difference between a test pipe and high flow cat isn't enough to justify the noise, smell and legality issues that come with a catless setup.
