timing with stage 2 cam

I replaced my timing belt and did the timing like I should: Put the crankshaft at the TDC mark and put the slot in the cam gear at the 10:30 position and now its not starting. The stealership says its timing but they won't touch it because of the aftermarket camshaft and cam gear. Is there any difference with setting the timing when you have a stage 2 cam?

It should start at 0 degrees. Try setting it up using the stock gear, then swap it out when you get the timing set perfectly.

thanks but I have a lightened crank pulley and there is no timing mark on there. I set the mark that is on the crankshaft gear to line up with the "T" on the plastic cover. I dont't think this is correct because my car isn't starting. Any help? Also I don't have my original crank pulley so I can't cross reference.

What I meant was that your cam gear was off. When I did my T-belt change, I aligned the keyway of the crank gear with the arrow on the plastic cover. Then the cam gear (mine was stock) I just aligned the arrow as well. GL!

but I do have another issue. The car wont start. I know its fuel related because if I spray some carb choke cleaner into the filter it will stay running for about 10 seconds then tries to die again until I spray some more. I have some fuel injectors I'm going to put in today to see if thats the problem. Fuel pump is new and i cleaned my crank sensor while I had the plastic cover off so I don't think its either of those.
If not injectors, what else could it be?

check the crankshaft sensor

there are two other possible probs

the crankshaft sensor tells when to send in the fuel to feed the engine.
maybe it got damaged or something, just check it
it could be the cam sensor too, but i highlt doubt it
also check out your fuel pump

Well, since it'll only be at idle try the stock 245s and see what happens!
