Power steering faliure

My power steering is failing me.

When i am at a stop with no throttle input basicly just sitting their idleing, my power steering will not work and you can hear it moaning loud enough that you can hear it clearly.

But as soon as i give the slightest throttle input the steering will will fly in any dirrection like if it was in mid air.

has anybody else had this issue. i will be bringing it to the dealer this saturday to fix that and change the relays. cant wait to hear their bull**** about my aftermarket equipment!

have you ever popped the hood and checked your p/s fluid levels? Maybe even looked for a leak?

you might need the flash tsb, i had the same problem. Still have to bring mine in for the reflash. Easy fix for now, when it happens just tap the gas pedal...should fire up no problem.

TSB-08-13-004

That's what I had found a while back. Do a search, you should be able to find the pictures of it somewhere on this forum.

I have this issue onmu evoIX, but I have a performance flash, would the dealer need to overwrite my current ecu codes?

so, pointless post, you had a nosy P/s system. You asked us whats wrong and finally you took it to mitsu under warranty and got it fixed. Waste of time in my opinion.
