removal of muffler = exhaust hangage
removal of muffler = exhaust hangage
ok so check this out. lately ive had exactly zero money so im trying to work on my car by doing stock mods.like of opened up the air box. and i was wanting to be a little dumb/ricerish and remove my muffler. so me and my friend got together and he has a brand new civic si and do this to both cars we did his first no problem. it was loud and anooying but funny as we drove around anooying people with the loudness. did make him lose some tourqe from lack of back pressure. so we go back to his house to do mine we reomove all the bolts and all the hangers and we remove the muffler. as the muffler comes off my exhaust right where the muffler bolts on falls on the ground!
turns out mitsu has no hangers for the exhaust till you get to the muffler. that sucks we had no problem on the si but the ES just sucked. i was also wondering if anybody has tried this and had the same problem and maybe found a way to fix it!

yeah put a muffler on it, thats about the only way... just do what i did buy a 50$ hks universal muff cut the flange off your stock muff , weld some 2.5 inch pipe from the flange to the muff. cut off one of the hanger thingys from our old muff and put it on the new one. bada bing you have a hks 2.5 inch axleback exhaust, just dont melt your bumper like i did, you wont if u mount if just right...
