So just curious about the fog lights

I have seen some pictures of lancers were they have there fog lights turned on with turning on there headlights.

Is it because those cars are 5-speed or is it just because they are the 2008 models?

You could do it with any of the models. It just requires having to run wires from the cabin to the engine bay to bypass the normal lighting system.

Do you have the stock fog lights?
If you do then you're gonna have to modify the wires going to the fog relay in the picture.

If you have replicas, I posted instructions in the how to section a while ago on how to do that.

did you want the fog lights to turn on together with the position lights?
without toggle of the fog light switch?

i just got some new bulbs for my fogs and before i start the job i was just curious how to get to the bulbs. i have been searching the forum and came up with nothing for lancer de/es/gts. i saw that you get to the bulbs through the wheel well for the evo x and it is just a couple clips and a 10mm and is really easy. is it the same for the base lancer. thanks.

i can answer that easily, in front of the fog light is a screw, just unscrew it and the whole fog light assembly should come out. then just switch the bulbs (and of course dont touch the bulb) and put it back in.

but don't be and idiot like me. I didnt know how to do it at first and i was afraid to unscrew the the fog light so i came up with the great idea of "since i cant do it through the engine bay, maybe it would be easier to do it from underneath the car!"

yeah not a good idea lol, it worked yeah, but it took 30 minutes lol
