Engine Noise on cold startup

Has anyone experienced any noise from their Lancer upon startup when the temperature is colder. I have had a problem with my Lancer, but it seems to have gone away since the temp has gone up here in Texas. But, back a few months ago when it was a lot cooler, my Lancer sounded like it was not getting oil to the lifters upon startup. Had it in the shop twice, but they could not duplicate the problem. And, as I said, since the temperature has gone up in the 90's now it does not do it.

Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this problem. My local dealer said that when it started doing it again they would see if they could remedy the problem. My problem is that by the time it gets cool enough to start up again I may be out of warranty. I already have 24,000 miles on my OZ Rally. Well, if I do I guess I'll just be forced to trade up to a new Evo VIII.

I know some noise is normal, but what I'm Talking about is very noticeable. For instance, when my car does this it can be heard inside my house for about 30 Seconds. and I don't have a garage, I park on the street in front of my house.

engine noise at startup

I too have had the same noise during startup at cold temps, the noise startup almost immediately after I bought it. I have yet to bring it to the dealer, mainly because it's pretty warm in NJ now.
