Looking for a part

I don't know if this is the correct forum, but I'm looking for a specific part. If you look behind the instrument panel dimmer (rheostat) you'll see a blue plastic connector that slide in and out of the back of the rheostat. Does anyone know the part number for this or where I might be able to find one? Mitsu doesn't have a number for the part so I can't order it from them. The same part fits into the back of the factory fog lamp switch which is what I want it for. Thanks.

Go to a JY and snag one would be my best advice. I dunno of any place that sells specialty automotive electrical components aside from the dealerships.

Well that sucks. Mitsu won't even admit the part exists, even when I tell them where the part is and the type of connector it is according to their wiring diagrams.

You're in luck, I'm presently piecing out a front clip to repair my car and all the dash stuff(including wiring) is there. I'll check in the morning to see if I have the connector you need.

myoung that would be great. It's just a blue plastic connector that attaches into the back of the dash dimmer - rheostat. Out of curiosity what happened to your Lancer?

Ok, I got it.

You can mail me or paypal me five bucks and I'll mail it to ya.

Or you can drive up here to Long Beach and get it if you're in a bigger hurry than the post office can provide.

Let me know what you want to do.

My Lancer was wrecked when I bought it. I bought it from a friend who got it from a junkyard to build a SEMA car. I found him a front clip for it to do the repairs it needed and then he kicked it to the curb when he got a Pilot from Honda to build.

I bought the Lancer and the front clip for $3000. Other than the accident damage to the front, the car is in perfect shape with only 7000 miles. I'm only using the stuff from the cowl forward off the clip so all the rest is useless to me. If you need any gray dash parts for ES or LS I probably have it.
