Questions

Had my gauge cluster go bad. So I purchased a working unit from a used car. It's off of a automatic, mine is a manual. Shouldn't have any issues with it functioning correct? It's from the same year and model of Lancer (2006 ES). Also, the odometer on the used unit is obviously different from mine. Do our cars control that internally or only through the cluster itself? Meaning, will the used odometer read my mileage once installed or the previous car. One needs to be done of the later is so?

the clusters are interchangeable. you could have even done an evo cluster in there as well since it fits. the mileage however stays with the cluster, which means if you want it to read the correct milage you will have to take it to the dealer and have them do it.

Any idea on how much that should cost? What do they do just re flash the cluster? They aren't going to tell me they have to take the cluster out of the vehicle and send it somewhere are they?
