That i know of its just stored in the cluster.
At hyundai there is no were it stores odometer readings. If the cluster dies we cant go into any module and find odometer.
This is on 2016 can network cars,

I know Hyundai only logs in the cluster. At some point it was believed that the ECU stored a log for warranty issues but that has been found to be not true.
Just curious if the ECU does log on the EVO/Ralliart, I do know the cluster stores a locked mileage counter though.
