'10 GTS Pulls to the Right
'10 GTS Pulls to the Right
I see a lot of complaints about cars pulling to the left, but mine slightly pulls to the right.
I only notice it at higher speeds on longer trips, but it gets annoying when my arm starts getting tired from holding it straight. I noticed it when I first bought the car, but I blamed it on crappy bumpy roads and didn't think much of it. I've had it since the end of September, and it's gotten about 15K miles on it. The tires don't seem to be wearing strangely or anything, but I still notice that there's a pull to the right sometimes. I just kind of wrote it off as "the roads must be crap" and "I'm crazy and must just be imagining things."
Then I let someone drive my car on the interstate last week and THEY noticed a rightward pull, too! Well, darn. I guess I should've taken it in to be looked at earlier because I guess it's not just lumpy I-35/paranoia about the new car/etc.
Is it too late to complain that there's a rightward pull? It's still in the warranty period, but I'm worried that the dealership's going to raise an eyebrow at why I didn't bring this in earlier or something.
Has anyone else had the same issue and gotten it resolved? I saw on the '08 leftward pull threads that some of the alignment bits weren't adjustable from the factory--is this still the case with the later models, and would that be causing the wonky pull?

I fought with my dealer for a couple years. Going in and getting an alignment check every couple months. it wasn't till i got my own tires using 225/45/18 that i didn't see a pull. These cars for some reason the Tow gets off really easy. not sure if its all of them but I know mine did. 3 months now and I haven't had a problem since I bought my own tires cause the tires for life program is absolute crap. There will be a slight pull when in the left or right lanes cause of the curvature of the road but if your getting bad pull I'd have the alignment checked.
I have a 2010 Lancer GTS that I bought in Dec. It had 4,600 miles on it when I bought it and now has 8,700. It has pulled to the right... just enough to notice.... since I bought it. It's going in on Saturday because I hear a clunk in the left front when I back out of my driveway with the wheels cut to the left. I will mention the pull and see what they say. Other than that... I love the car. Unfortunately I got a ticket today for the tinted windows. Better that then getting pulled over for going to fast
Well, I ended up asking about it and a) it's not under warranty (probably because I waited so long on it) and b) the dealership here doesn't even do alignments--they're sent out to someone else in town.
It's only a minor nuisance and hasn't affected tire wear or anything, so I figure I'll just wait on it 'til I feel like messing with it.

I have a slight pull to the left on a 2010 MRT with 4800 miles and the right rear tire is almost worn out the left rear is 60% worn and the fronts are almost like new. Did they do something wrong when they assembled the car?
