Pressing brake makes right blinker turn on?

Okay I have two problems.

1) This is only noticeable at night, but when I press on the brake the right blink brightens. It doesn't turn on but just brightens up and goes away when I let go of the brake. Very noticeable. Any reasons why it does this?

2) Also once in a while when I'm parking, I'll shift from drive to park and the whole cars rumbles.

A week ago my "Service Engine Soon" light turned on. I did all the maintenance. How do I make the light go away. Do I gotta bring it to the dealer?

sounds like an episode of house but with a car haha. you could take your car autozone and have them run the scanner to see what codes you get for the engine light. and if you havent already disconnects the battery to let the computer reset and check if the problem is still there. Probly a sensor.

For problem 1 check your grounds in the brake light and turn signal circuits...also check to make sure you have the correct bulb installed...if all the grounds are good and bulbs are correct then get a schematic for the brake light circuit and trace all the wires looking for a short-to-voltage.

For problem 2 if the SES Lamp is on get the code pulled and post it up on here for more diagnosis

Hahahah. It's the wrong bulb, or the correct bulb but the filaments are shorted together.

Heres the Schematic for the brake lamp circuit...I would check to make sure its the right bulbs first though...

I'll check the bulbs, so I gotta take the whole gauge out right?
Thanks for the schematic!

Update: My mechanic scanned it and said the gas tank cap could have been the problem. Let's see if it comes back on.
