Mits Lancer GTS / Vibration

Gday Guys, I need some advice please.

I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS, 2.4 L Manual Transmission. I am in Dubai. This car has been in an accident, to the front LHS/drivers side. which has been repaired.
I am experiencing bad vibration when accelerating, also a clunking noise when I turn to the right. I have had the tires balanced, wheel alignment and overhauled both of the axles bearings and tie rods. One mechanic has said it could be the bearings in the gearbox, where the axle fits.

Any suggestions? Parts are a little difficult to come by here in Dubai, as it is a US spec model.

Cheers

This is tricky. But to narrow this down abit.

1) drive with another set of tires as a test to completely eliminate the possibility of the tires / rim

2) Does the engine vibrate on idling? What happens when you rev the engine in neutral (not in gear)

Thanks for reply...

When i rev the engine in neutral there is no vibration, or just with idle.

I had a Turning shop here do an overhaul of the LHS Axle which initially made a big improvement, but then deteriorated after a day or so. I wonder if the CV joint is still defective and maybe I should get a second hand Axle shaft complete? Maybe the chassis was not repaired 100% correct after the accident?

I will try and rotate the tires and see if this improves things..

I had a similar issue with vibration and it turned out to be a slightly loose bolt in the front passenger side caliper. The back bolt that bolts the caliper behind the rotor.

i would say it is the axle, as you said you have a clunking noise when turning. From what you have described, i would say its 99% the axle
