Coolant Fan problem.
Coolant Fan problem.
I am not sure where to start troubleshooting, but here is my problems and i hope some one can guide me to the light.
My coolant fan continue to stay on once is on. First coolant fan will stay on continuesoly, and the second one will goes on and off non stop. If i park the car for about 30 minutes and turn it back on. The fan will turn on right away.
When I turn off the car for about 5 seconds, then the fan will auto shut off.
If i turn on the A/C the fan will stay on. My car does not overheat. It blows cold and hot air.
I've checked the coolant and it's full.
I am guessing the relay is good otherwise it wouldn't turn on right?
My CEL just went on, could this be the cost of the problem? (I would run the code, but no one around me have a check engine decoder
)

Well as far as the a/c goes its normal for the fan to turn on right away whenever the a/c is turned on. as far as your issue it sounds like your fan control module is bad. If you lift your hood its a little box mounted on the fan assy with both fans plugged into it. Get your car scanned and let us know what came up. It will most likely show a code related to that unit.
I have the same problem,
but mine only stays on for about 10 seconds after shutting off the engine.
If the engine is still hot,
it also turns on when the key is in the ignition.
Car doesn't overheat so it doesn't bother me.
I just think of it as a turbo timer
