I am guessing you have a cvt. There is either a transmission fault, or datalink communication failure between engine and trans. Does it do it all the time or intermittent? I would check if there are any fault codes in the trans or engine. If not then I do not know what it could be. CVT owners may be able to answer you better than me (5spd)

From what i understand it sounds like it doesnt move at 2000rpm or delays a bit. On mine, from 0 if i accelerate it stalls a bit around 2-3k rpm but if i let go of the accelerator and accelerate again it goes higher.

This seems to be a commonly reported anomaly with CVT owners. For whatever reason, every once and a while the engine bogs down for a second or two from a stop, as if its not in the right gear or something. I've had it happen to me plenty of times, not really often or consistently, just randomly happens. I would say it seemed to happen more often on really hot days over the summer, but idk. If its not a constant or common problem you should be fine. For the most part it seems to be a harmless fluke every CVT owner encounters.

I have tried this before and still getting the same issue. It makes me feel like the car doesn't have enough power.

i drove a few cars that have done this and they have all been manumatic transmissions, and only does it when you're in regular auto mode. if this is the case either drive it in manual mode or maybe get rid of it for a standard. i hate those kind of transmissions they are usually junk, unless you have the money to get an evo mr.
