I've had my lancer for a few months now, bought it with 60k miles and it's been great. I've just had one issue that I've been unable to resolve, I apologize if this has been covered, but I haven't been able to find anything about it yet.

My map lights come on when I press them but regardless of where I put the switch I cannot get them to turn on when I open my door, or unlock the car. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of any relatively low skill level fixes for it?

 

I haven't heard of this problem. Kind of sounds like the wiring might be borked somehow. If it's still under warranty, I'd suggest having the dealership take a look.

 

You have navigation? Maybe theres a setting in the vehicle setup part.
