instrument cluster died on me

Well my gauges have been acting strange lately, they started basically "shutting off" all needles would drop as if I turned the switch off while driving. It did that maybe 4 times in the last week and a half. I researched it and seems to be a somewhat common problem. People seem to have cracks in the circuit board and stuff like that.

If anyone knows what all years are compatible , please let me know. There's plenty of my model on ebay I just wanna make sure there's no tiny change in the years that isn't noticable on the outside.

Also I'm sure someone knows the answer to this question , but will the EVO style cluster work with my 2002 es? I like it a lot better than the plain one I have. Thanks guys. I'm working on getting this car in better shape. One part at a time.

I forgot to mention that now the gauges are completely dead. Needles stick at various locations and the mileage counter looks like what a broken cell phone screen used to look like. Like screwed up pieces of numbers....btw my lights all still work in the cluster. Just nothing else. Thanks

The problems completely intermittent now. I'll be driving and the gauges will just turn off of get stuck and when I tap on the gauge it starts working again. That USUALLY fixes it. The other issue it has is sometimes it does all that and gets completely stuck and tapping doesn't even help. When that happens the mileage indicator screws up and it looks like a bunch of unreadable markings. When that happens I disconnect my battery and it resets. I've checked connections on the plugs for the cluster and they are fine. I'm thinking I just need an EVO cluster or something. Thanks everyone

I actually haven't checked the fuse yet I haven't had much time to mess with it. I've just been dealing with it as it happens. Do you happen to know where that fuse is located? Thanks

If it works at all, even intermittently it's probably not the fuse. I suppose it's worth looking anyway though, there are two fuses if i remember correctly, first one is under the dash behind the personal compartment, if i remember correctly its fuse 2, 7.5A, but check the back of the tray you have to pull out to be sure. Next fuse is in the engine bay, just look on the cover to find the right one - although i think this one only controls the backlight as that's why i replaced my fuse.

I think there have been EVO cluster swaps, but i'm not really sure. Also i think the ES>OZ swap would work, it would also look a lot nicer.
