Going limp

Not sure this is the correct section for it but I have a '10 Lancer ES and first thing in the morning I let my car warm up for like 5 minutes and once I get going with a little but of gas it goes into a limp mode usually from 1st to 2nd only for a second but it's annoying. I have the CVT

Same thing this morning. Like I said though I am already moving at a little faster then idle coming out of a parking lot and when I go to get in the highway that's when it will go into this "limp" mode.

K we might have disagreement on what this limp mode meaning. Explain what it does next morning. Then explain what you expect. I myself have started my lancer es cvt 2010 in -40c without a block heater. And that's 52 somthing odd hours of not starting over the weekend. But now i have a remote starter. Thats why im asking what does limp mode mean.

I've replicated your limp mode. Its the cvt transmission changing gear or hunting as you can say. I had to rev it low inorder to feel what you're talkingabout. It's normal usually im above 2000rpm from a stop to moving and i dont feel that limp mode.
