I recently bought a Pioneer DEH-6300UB head unit. I took the stock brackets off of the stock head unit, but the brackets do not fit the Pioneer head unit I just bought. I call many places and they tell me that the 03 Lancer ES does not need a dash kit or head unit mount. Any ideas of how I can make this head unit fit or of any dash kits that would work on my car?

 

sounds like installer error...

 

you probably lined up the holes wrong on the brackets.

 

Try moving the brackets around a little bit. You should be able to just mount the stock brackets to the head unit and go. Where about in Pa are you?

 

Well the head unit only has one hole while the bracket has two. When I use the second hole the bracket stick out the side and does not fit and when I use the first hole the head unit sticks out to far. I live near Carlisle PA

 

I had that same issue when I installed my head unit I just drilled some new holes in the brackets
