I could be taking it to the dealer to make sure you are getting the right codes. If you are wanting to just replace an ECU because you get an ECU malfunction code, then maybe you should let someone do the work for you. Because it will save you money and time in the long run.

I called the dealer, and told them about the "clunking" sound it makes on start up. they said No doubt without even looking I need a new trans because of the clunking sound at setup.

well you never told anyone that your transmission makes a clunking sound.

if you are under warranty and havent do crazy modifications take the car in. Its the best option. Powertrain warranty

I have a similar problem. My car is a manual. Only happens in heavy rain . Then I give it 5 minutes and it is fine. I pulled the codes but I do not remember them off hand. Mine boils down to the fuel pump. Possibly bad connection. Now I have to find out how to access the darn thing. I checked the trunk for access but I think the tank needs to be dropped.

I drive it again. Lol I replaced the trans. Done the work my self. And well. It drives fine now and I got a lifetime warranty on my trans.
