The car was taken in for its 30k mi service for warranty and they failed to put the center plastic splash shield back on under the oil pan. I think I found the correct replacement part to order(dealer denies they forgot/said it must of blown off).
Can someone verify for me this is the correct part # I need on my 08 Lancer ES CVT. It's the center plastic undertray splash shield directly below the oilpan.

No way. They messed up. Take it up the corporate ladder for resolution.
Document every conversation.
Be polite.
Be firm.

(Until polite doesn't work)

 

I wouldnt see why they would ever remove it to do a service, unless you have a 5spd and they removed it to ease the access of filling your trans oil. I would call or visit the dealer's parts department (they are separate from service and shouldn't dick you around) Get the right part number, then cross it to aftermarket if available.
