Hey guys, ever since the first week I had my 2012 ES I've been having an issue with second gear, though it never really bothered me til now because it keeps getting worse and worse and happens almost every time I shift too quickly into second gear. I've been driving standard now for about 5 years and I know it's not happening because of the way I'm shifting. I had a friend drive my car and it happened to him also when he shifted quickly from 1st to 2nd. I can shift quick into every other gear except second which I don't understand. The only way I can avoid the grinding is if I wait like a half second or so in between shifting gears. All help is appreciated, thank you in advanced!

 

sounds like a worn synchro. I would get this looked at asap while still under warranty. Be sure you have done the trans oil change at the right service interval.
