Whats up people! First of many posts here. I recently purchased a 2010 sportback lancer gts, which has been awesome. Yesterday however I went outside to go to work, and my car was completely dead. No response from the key fob, and nothing happens when I turn the key in the lock. No idea what is going on here, and I'd prefer not to have it towed to the dealership to get fixed. I only know of the one lock by the drivers door, is there any way to solve this? Thanks in advance

So you are saying that the key will not open your door? Even the physical lock? If so then you obviously need to give your head a shake and get someone to open your car. We cannot magically open your car on the internet.
Well yeah I understand that...
I am unfamiliar with the ins and outs of this vehicle, and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get in the car other than that, because I would think with the lock having to be powered(I'm guessing here), mitsubishi would leave a solution that doesn't require me breaking into my own car. If that is the only way to solve this, I'm going to be pretty pissed.

On the back of the remote is a little black switch - it releases a metal key you can use to open the car door (i think you say you did this). Try the hatch too.
I suspect your battery is dead (either key fob or car battery).
If the key starts the car (you pop off the black plastic ignition key cover and insert the key) - then your FAST remote battery is dead.
If the car won't start (no lights/horn either) - then replace the car battery.
Lastly - take a moment to read the manual - good stuff and it may save a trip to the dealer$hip, eh?
