What cable to use to log 2008 lancer

What cable to use to log 2008 lancer
Hi'

I am trying to log and read the fault code as engine light is on. I recently have evoscan cable 1.3U I think. Am i using the wrong cable?
My lancer has 2.0L DOHC TC/IC MIVEC (4B11)

I appreciate your help

its probably not the cable that is at fault, what DTC reader do you have, is it OBDII capable?

I am using evo scan latest application. And it works fine at my other lancer. 2007 2.0 sohc engine.

never even heard of evo scan before. I just use a basic OBD II reader... I would test another reader or make sure you have power and ground at the diag port.
