New Battery, New Problems?

Hey guys, not really sure about my situation, but i had a question. i have a 2002 Lancer ES.

i replaced my battery, and when i started it and went for a drive, as i came to a stop, each time the idle would shoot down to about 400-500 RPM's and would be on the verge of diying out. Also, for example, when i go to put my window up or down, the headlights, and interior dash lights dim substantially more than they did when i had the old battery in...Also, every so often, since the new battery, the belts would squeal, sometimes by themselves while idling, and other times when i do something like put the window up or down (thats only happened once)...

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

Loose alternator belt. The car needs to idle without being driven for about 15 minutes after you reconnect the battery also so it can relearn its idle parameters.

Where'd you get the battery from? could also possibly be defective with a bad cell.

Thanks for the replies, seems to be working better now with time so it must've been relearning the idle like Automatic said
