The best way to do it is to not have the dealer drill the holes in the air dam. and then not drill them yourself. I installed mine in the window, bottom passenger side.

Can you just pay a fine and not fix it? I'm not sure if we can do that in Cali. but I would if I could!

I shure am glad we don't have front plates here in N.C. My OZ didnt come with plate holes. Would prob look crappy with it bieng black.

what i did was went to the home depot and bought sum suction cup thingys and put them into my license plate, then stuck that thing on my my lower left winshield....its not illegal

I tried to do that to my trans am, but the suction cups slid and fell off in the heat Doesn't matter, though, because in Cali it IS illegal. I read the California vehicle code before getting my citation corrected, and it says something in the way of it having to be mounted to the front of the car 15-60 (about 5-21 in) cm from the ground. I've also heard that clear license plate covers are illegal here, too, because they make ones that will blur out the plate for cameras but I haven't found any such vehicle code yet.
