2008 Lancer es AC not cold
Hello,
Never had a issue with my AC until today. It has been consistently high 85 and up here in central PA and today was no different. The AC will work, but it isn't freezing cold as usual. I have it on max AC with blower speed a little less than half way on.
Any ideas why it all of a sudden doesn't want to work?
105k miles
Never had any work on ac unit, no issues.
Thanks

Try a can of refill (at parts store). Follow the directions and precautions. Best can has a beefy black plastic gauge on it.
If it only works for a little while (days or even only a month) - you have leak. Go to a a/c specialist.

Putting a can of refrigerant is a short term solution.
You either have a leak, a sensor, fan, or compressor problem. Since you haven't complained about overheating, I would rule out the fan.
Unless you have the pressure gauges, you will need an a/c professional.

I have a 2012 ES and i'm also at 100K. I recently noticed that the AC
vents on the passenger side are blowing out warm/normal air while my 2 vents
are blowing out cool air(weak cool air even at MAX). Any idea guys?
Also is my Lancer dual zone control? I'm thinking about doing a recharge and hope
it fixes the problem.
Nope, not dual zone...
Like stated above, the recharge is a short term fix -but helps troubleshoot the issue.
The can has a gauge and directions - it will tell you if the system is charged (stop. It is something else) and how much to fill (do not over-fill. Just follow the directions).
If the recharge fixes it - let us know how long until it stops working again. Also, look for oily/dirty spots around each hose connection.
