MIL Eliminator

Has anyone actually bought a mil eliminator, installed it and actually got it to remove the cel. I'm reading through all the forums, and the idea I get is that these do not or will not clear the cel. I got my header put in, and within 50 miles, bam ses light is on. I've got a diagnostic computer, and sure enough, it's the ol' faithful P0421 code. I can clear this error, but in theory, it'll just pop up again, and I'll just have to keep clearing it. So anyone with experiences similar to mine, especially with the mil elim. please post, did it work, how'd ya install it...etc. I just don't want to "deal with the thrown code" And I'll tell ya one thing, I'm sure as hell not gonna put the stock back on when it comes time to smog, f*ck that! I'll find a way, come hell or high water. Thanks to everyone!

Well, ordered the mil elimator, got it, cleared my cel, then installed the mil eliminator from bigjoshracing, and sure enough, 32 miles later, damn cel is back on again. But this time when i read the code, it wasn't the same ol p0421, it was a p0139 this time, definition of code: o2 sensor ckt slow response. This tells me that the resistors in the mil elim. are too great in numbers and are limiting the voltage too greatly, anyone got any ideas?

By the way, good luck ever getting bigjoshracing.com to ever email you back, pick up their phones, apparently they don't exist.

damn no responses to this thread huh? lol. well a couple of members have commented in the past about the mil not working. well at least working for a month or two, but sure enough the cel would come back on. so i guess in the end its not worth it. anyways about bigjoshracing. i'm pretty sure Robert is the owner, and the only one operating the business. the number on the website is his personal cell phone number (i'm almost positive). he's really busy most of the time. he's a good guy though....when you do catch him. i've ordered 2 headers from him so far. just keep on it. he'll pick up eventually.

Did you install it on the second cat like the directions said. I have had mine on for a couple thousand miles with no problem. i installed it in December. It is actually 5 months today.

Yeah second cat, done correctly, in theory if it wasn't properly wired the circuit wouldn't have been right and would have thrown a cel immediatley, it took about 40 miles, but now it's different code, so it did fix the previous error, just gave me a new one in it's place.

no trust me, it's wired right. My theory is this: No two resistors are EXACTLY the same, the one I got just may be limiting the voltage a hair too much. From what I've read, that voltage (temp. readings) have to be dead on, or it'll throw the cel, I'm thinking I want to try a couple different ones, but I sure as hell aren't going to keep paying 16 bucks a pop.

Yeah I was thinking of trying that too, but do u know of a place that sells them specifically for our setup, I breifly looked but couldn't find one. I know sdhotwn got close to figuring out the resistor combo, but everything he tried came out unsuccessful, he kept throwing cels too.
