THere is a lot of movement on the stock one too because all the hangers are in the back. If you have issues bet RRM will fix it. Talk to Rob or Gabriel. They are always helpful!

Should have just had us do install but... Raul is actually right. Three rubber hangers hold up the entire exhaust from front of the cat to the tip. Stock one wiggles a lot too. It is the rubber mounts that allow it to move. You probably never notice till now that you have a tip sticking out.

most time when ever replacing a stock exhaust with a new one you will almost always run into some sort of fitment issues. majority of the time these problems can be fixed simply by tweaking the hangers to reduce/increase slack. my muff guy had to modify the hangers 4 times until he got my exhaust on perfect without any movement.

I'm glad someone brought this up because I have been thinking about how to resolve that very same problem.

My muffler sounds like is going to fall off the car, specially when going over bumps or any other movements!!

It's too lose and I think that's why I get that ugly sound on it when accelerating (The Kamikaze header added more loudness to the exhaust and because the muffler is kind of loose, it makes a very loud vibrating sound)

Rob, could you give us any ideas on how to secure the muffler more so it doesn't bounce around so much?

THey bounce because they are held in place by three funky rubber hangers. They all move including stock. THere is not much that can be done. We studied it a lot. Only way to fix it is to make it Non bolt in. No body wants that. XXX call us. You installed it wrong I think.

Hey Rock,

I had my muffler installed by a "dedicated exhaust" shop here in Boston, and like you said, it's not rocket science, three hooks and three hangers.

I have checked the installation several times and have had other shops look at it while they were installing other parts for the exhaust (test pipe and header) AND they always say there is nothing wrong with it
However, the thing moves around too much and it makes noise while at it.

I wonder if there is room for adjustment or just some sort of adapter or something that we can install to secure the muffler in place?

Think of something man, you got the power!

Has anyone considered replacing the rubber mounting points with (soft) urethane inserts? Should reduce the wobbling.
