Angry No holes were found in on oil pan. It gets worst!!

Yesterday, when I had the car towed to the local repair shop, the boys lifted the car and couldn't find any damage under the engine or oil pan. But, when they removed the exhaust manifold, they found a huge hole on the engine block itself (on the wall right below the manifold) The hole is right above the little pipe where the oil dipstick goes in.

Service Manager from Mitsu called me asking why there were two bolts missing from the exhaust manifold?
The guy from the repair shop forgot to put them back on and now he is trying to deny me warranty service because of that!

I was like I don't think so, the guys removed the exhaust manifold to look for any visual damage and what they found was beyond their repair capabilities. So now, the service manager said that he has to call some Mitsu Inspector to come look at the car and decide whether is covered or not.

I guess I won't have a car for while...

What do you think it was caused? I can't think of anything that would have caused it, except casting defects from the factory or a specific machine within the factory.

The mitsu service managaer is plain being an ****. Don't want to pay for a whole new engine.

Don't worry about it. The inspectors won't find any severe damage from NOS or TC usuage like scorched spark plugs, dented piston head . . . . this is after cracking open the cyl head.

Did the mechanic talk to the service manager? You have to line up some witnesses on your behalf.

Sorry to hear about that. I had a wierd problem like that once. Didn't have anything to do with mods. I was still stock motor. Oil light came on, motor was running rough and stalling. Oil level was low. So put oil in. About when I was going to take it to dealer to say WTF, it cleared up. Stupid Car. Never figured out why or what made it happen...

I do believe his motor is stock . . . that's why say don't worry. Most dealership people will look for those damages.

I got good news from the dealer,
The car will receive warranty service, however, they told me they ordered a new engine shell casing??
What about the internals on the engine??
I thought they were going to replace the whole engine!
