i put a exausht on my lancer and cut out the resonater when i try to punch it the engine bogs when i get it going it dose not wanna shift what could it be??

 

For someodd reason, your car is extremely rich, or your exhaust is too big.

What brand and size? Just exhaust work?

It's more likely the 2nd O2 sensor was damaged. The CE light is on or not yet.

 

no the ce light it not on i got the exausth from a friend it was running fine when i left the mufler shop then i drove home then left got on us-1 then when i got of it was not shifting nor going fast at all it has no pick up what so ever

 

hmmm . . . no CE light does not indicate sensor failure.

I don't know if you have an exhaust leak. If so, I don't think it should affect performance in bogging down.

A cheap way . . . disconnect your battery for 3-5 mins and plug it back. Drive about 40 miles or so, your ecu should compensate.

 

so try to take it on the high way and seee if it fixes it

If you just replaced your muffler, it shouldn't make your car bog down like that, unless it's too big. Again, you did say it was off a civic, and they are really known to use too big of an exhaust.


Do this if the problem is an unknown factor? If this doesn't solve it, something must have happened in the muffler shop.

None of our Lancers go over 45...THERE TO SLOW

 

I FIXED IT WHEN IT WAS WELDED THEY BROKE THE BEAD ON THE EXHAUST AND ALL THE PACKING CLOGED THE PIPE
