I know that people are doing K20 engine conversions, so why don't they just turbo K20? There's a larger aftermarket support for that engine, and i'm sure more potential then the celica motor.

We beleive that there is great potential in both the 2ZZ motor and the K20 motor. However to do a full K20 motor swap and then add a turbo would be very expensive and we can achieve the same results simply building the 2ZZ motor for people wanting huge power increases. Plus that is still technically "legal" as we did not change the motor for a Honda unit that was not federalized in the car to begin with.

Hello Guys,
We have spent the last 2 days prepping the car and working on getting some dyno numbers for you. I just got in (10pm here) and I am very excited about this little car! We are still working on the tuning on Friday and Saturday, but so far I can say that the car is making an easy 238 wheel horsepower and 195 pound feet of torque at the wheels at 7 psi. We will be changing a lot of things and monitoring temps, air fuel ratio etc etc. The car wants to make a lot more power but we will keep it nice and conservative and let you guys revel in the low end torque of the car. We are making over 145 pound feet of torque at the wheels at 3700 rpm! The car is trying to rip itself off our dyno under high rpm and I fear that our 350 whp package may pop wheelies down the road! I will post up dyno sheets on Friday when we have our "final" tune on the car. I will start a new thread once I have the charts.

So far both the EGT's are low, and the intercooler thermocouple never went past 104 degrees while stationary, without the fan installed under dyno conditions. We will be keeping an eye on all temps and I will keep you posted about the intake temps also. Thanks guys.

Yeah, because nobody's ever taken an Elise and turbo charged it before... Oh, yeah, you get a warranty with this one too!

If I ever get divorced and buy an Elise than I know what upgrade path I need to take now .

HA HA I was just about to maybe say try the T25 turbo from the 2nd G DSM. That turbo spools super quick...but the t28 is not a bad choice either.

350whp in an Elise

I think if or when you sell that kit, that it sould be a requirement to buy extra padding for the head rest (and a pack of new underwear) as well

Thanks Mike! Give me a call if you want to pass by and see the little monster at our shop. We are currently working on a 375 whp version for 2 upcoming super tuner shootouts. Should be a little quicker than an Enzo in the 1/4 mile with that much go juice in the trunk.

Yes I am expecting the car to keep up until around 120mph and run a high 10 second 1/4 mile time with 375whp.
