And you thought you got pulled over.

There are CID (criminal investigations division) troops though that do work off post. They typically dont pull over speeders or any other "minor" offenders because they're usually investigating rape, murder, or other big time crimes. Getting pulled over by CID would be equivilant to getting pulled over by the fbi.

Don't forget about NCIS as well...they are the Navy/Marine Corps version of CID. They don't do traffic unless they are apprehending a murder suspect or something.

BADWRX: First of all I don't know the guy. I just met him on the street. He could be everything he said or could just be some guy pulling some ****. Personally I don't give a flip what he is or was. I thought I would just share what I had spotted. Maybe I got the story mixed up from what he told me. I was in a hurry I just chatted for a minute. Maybe he is a cop who is a reserve and is just driving his sti aka police car as his daily driver now that he isn't a texas ranger anymore. Who knows and who cares anymore. I just know I wouldn't want to get pulled over by this guy if he was a cop. If he isn't a cop can you explain the police computer?
EDIT: It is all hear say and I guess we will never really know until this guy says something on this forum or another member of this forum knows or is able to talk to this fella.

That's why I mentioned that he may be a real city cop or state trooper ( hence the computer ). But also a MP reservist or traditional guardsman.
We were just saying that a miltary police officer does not have any jurisdictional authority off post. Who knows, maybe he was a CDI troop. We'll never know now though will we
