Talking I know V8's may be taboo...

Anybody see the new C6 vette Z06? 500 Hp @6200, 475 TQ @ 4800 and it only weighs 3100 pounds...exotic performace at a projected $60k. I don't usually like american cars but whenever one beats up on a Ferrari it brings a smile to my face

It'll be a very awesome car, saw it a few days ago at the auto show. Though, for $60k, they could've made the interior a bit nicer, but eh, doesn't matter when you're driving that fast.

Z06 isn't about a nice interior. If anything, they stripped stuff out to cut weight like they have in the past.

And since when are V8s taboo? GM's small block V8s have always been pretty decent mills. And stuff like the LS7 are very well designed.

Evo board, don't see much V8 talk, thats all. Agreed GM LS series small block V8's have always been really good engines and the LS7 takes them to a whole another level.

I think they should contract Yamaha to build another head for them like on the ZR-1. DOHC 32V MONSTER.

Edit: I thought Yamaha helped them build it, but I just read it was Lotus and Mercury Marine. Anyone know for sure?

Actually it is. They took the small block to the displacement edge. Read about it.

There has been a company making 427 smallblocks for a couple years now. The first time I saw one was on "Two Guy's Garage" I think, or some other show like that on Speed Channel.
