I like the looks of the 300c. Only american car that really appeals to me at this time.

WHy is a car a gangsta type just because it appears in videos and such? I see alot of business people driving these around so it's more of a prestige car than anything else.

I think it's funny how so many EVo owners have been chanting to the Lancer guys "sell it and buy an EVO" yet if you look around so many are jumping ship after 2 or less years of EVO ownership. Now why is that?

Yes they are jumping ship but what are they buying are they upgrading or downgrading in performance. Just think about what cars would be an upgrade in overall performance and how mutch would you have to spend? Dont talk luxury we all have our luxury cars for when we want to drive them but performance you cant touch the EVO. I think most people are downgrading in performance and they might be content with that decision but I wont. I drive a 500whp+ pump gas evo and tell you there is nothing like it for the money!

People's motivations vary. Mine is not the money. I am still keeping my other cars. I do not care about all-out performance. I care about civility. The Evo is a shabby car built on top of a great drivetrain. Performane is only half of what I care about. As I get older, it means even less. If all I wanted was performance, I would drive a Caterham every day. I recommed that every evo defender find a used cat lot near them and drive a modern BMW and honestly compare the car as a whole, not just the performance. You will then understand what I mean.

The Evo zealots default argument is 'Bang for the buck'. Not everyone wants 'Bang', I want quiet sometimes and the 'buck' is not a huge issue. My M3 is loud, my Audi is loud and my MINI is a convertible, so it is loud. I want a big car that I can carry clients in that is pretty non-descript. The SRT-8 fits the bill perfectly.

the 300 is a POS, espeically apperance wise (IMHO). My neighbor had one for a week, and traded it in. He is now looking at the new lexus GS, thats one beautiful car.

Man, that's a smooth car. I hope it fits the bill for you And with the m3 and s4 you've still got plenty of ***-kicking performance...

Opinions being subjective, I think the GS looks like another copy of a Mercedes, like Lexus has been doing for years.

Just another slop-nosed hunch-backed car.

Isn't it amazing how quickly the flamers flame? You'd think the 20" wheels would give the blingers a trouser-tent? Great car! Near-Corvette matching numbers, a useable rear seat, a family-sized trunk, and a reasonable sticker. Too bad the SRT-8's Hemi loses the multi-displacement system.

I know I'll get whacked for this, but the Japenese auto industry has been copying great automobile designs since before--and including--the Datsun 240Z. Although you have to admit that the new Viper looks a lot like an S2000.

A very curious statement... The Evo is purely about performance... nothing else... that is so plainley obvious I have to wonder why you bought one in the first place if you had other priorities.

I myself have an Evo and the wife has a BMW 325i which we use as a daily driver. The Evo is a track car that does double duty as transportation when needed. It is in no way a "family car". I knew that when I bought it.

Good luck with the 300 SRT8. I drove a 300C about a year ago and found it to be a comfortable family hauler with some guts. Enjoy. Just make sure you know what the car is before you complain about it being too big or some such other thing.

I had no priorities when I bought the Evo. I had a Jeep Cherokee that I never drove, so one day I took it to CarMax (a Richmond, VA-based used franchise that also sold new Mitsubishi) and sold the truck to them. While I was waiting, I saw the Evo. I knew nothing about the car and had never driven one. I drove it and it seemed like a reasonable daily beater, so I bought it. There were no preconceptions, it just seemed like a good thing to buy because the price was right.

I realized it was the wrong car after driving down a friend's gravel driveway and hearing the 'tink-tink-tink' of pea gravel hitting the wheel wells. It had none of the sound deadening necessary to make it tractable. Knocking my knuckles on the rear door jamb produces a sound similar to banging on a Rubbermaid trash can. It is simply not built with the material quality or rigidity that I have become accustomed to. I admit that I bought the wrong car, but I do not complain to Mitsubishi, I just take my dollars elsewhere.
