The new neon srt-4 is going to come out in 2003 with a front mount intercooler. If dodge can use a fmic I dont see any reason why mitsu should have any problems. By the way it is one bad *** neon you can read about it and see the pics at

That is one bad *** neon....

But it's still a neon. I like neons and I think they're kewl to mod, but I wouldn't be the one doing it.

Good review with one huge glaring exception... they almost never mention the engine layout. To me that's the most important thing. I'm assuming it's an FF and I would never buy an FF... even if it is a Dodge.

Nice torque output from the big four though.

I like the interior except for those pedals! Yikes...I like my MOMO's just fine. The car looks like a weird hybridization of a Beetle and an Impreza to me. The waist line is a little high but overall it's very Dodge-ish in design. It's not that bad. An interesting departure.

Aha! Been looking for this thread for a while... a resurrection of sorts. This is probably the only Neon I could ever see myself behind the wheel of. Perhaps not a competitor to a Rex or any Evo, but this thing could certainly give other high performance compacts a run for the money.
