i did a little research, and i dont think it is possible to but a solid rear end in the gto. its not like the cobra where you can just bolt one in.

you would have to fab all the mounts, im not saying it cant be done, but it would cost to much and be to much work.

you just have to beef up what you have from BMR if you really think you are going to have that much power.

well a cobra can snap axles with 315s... i wasn't sure if the TA rear end and driveshaft would just bolt in or not...

i'm still looking at some other cars.. 05 s2k, 06 350z ( supposed to be changing the car a bit ), new r32 golf, etc anything non turbo and non FWD....

nope, the gto is from australia, and does not share anything with any of the american cars, camaro, ta , cts-v , vette, exept the engine and tranny.

Well the GTO is to be discontinued in 2006!

I knew that body style was not going to cut it.

All new designed GTO's in 2008

"The body style is kind of tame and boring for a car that’s supposed to be such a badass on the road. It looks more like 1999, then a 2005."

"And I still don’t think its worth the price their asking, but thats just my opinion, we will see how many they sell when it’s all said and done."

the only reason they are goin to quit making the gto in that body style is because, Holden the brand that makes this car shut down production on the monaro. it has been in production for a few years over there.
