3G (former) owners?
3G (former) owners?
Did anyone here used to own the 3rd generation eclipse (2000 - 2005) and switch to the evo?
did you mod your 3G and if you did, how did you trade it back to mitsu (or did you)?
I love my car, but it IS a money pit and am curious as to how/why people switched their cars.

yeah I'm in fairfield.
What color is his car? There's a guy who lives right around my block who has a red Evo...
everytime I drive by with my car he hears the exhaust and whips around to see what it is. Then he realizes it's just me and is like, whatever. lol

I had a 3G GT eclipse that was modded with a turbo kit and every other bolt on you can put on it. I traded it in at the dealership for an Evo. Modding a 3G was a waste of time and money for me.
I still own a 2003 eclipse gts with 12000 miles and its paid off, I also own a turbo kit from it but it is a waste of money to mod this car, not turbo friendly so I'm going to sell it.

mump: nice car, I have the silver spyder as well. Powerslot's going in this weekend hopefully...
R3dline: Well you had the 6G72 engine man, who did you buy the kit from? DDP? I have the 4G64 and that's been tested up to 15psi on stock internals (someone once got it up to 17, but that's retarded - safe boost would be 12-13psi) so it's definitely "boost friendly".
I'm looking at boosting my car eventually, though you are right on target: it's expensive as hell to do anything to it.
