Hey James, I'm sales as well, we've had the vehicle for about 2-3 weeks now...
We're always the first dealership in the New England area to get new cars...
Connections thanks to the owner... Joe Shaker, you might have seen him on the mazda board films...

Evolution racer, I really can't say if I have seen him but as I was reading over this post, but boss Rick Williamson said he knows Joe. He said something like, when he went over to japan Joe was with him.

Everyone at the dealership kinda drives different cars cept the managers... u know they get freakin demos, bastards... A few of the other sales guys actually drive Bimmers. One drives a 325i the other a 528i. The sales managers gives me crap once in awhile about how I'm driving a Mitsu. I'm like wth... there is nothing on the lot better than my car except maybe the 04 Viper SRT-10 we have. What a thrill to drive and one side note to that car is, you must have very deep pockets.
James, did you go to the Dealer ride and drive for the MX-5? I went today, it was alright... compared the BMW Z4 and the Mini Convertible to it. I do love the MX-5 as I'm driving it more and more. My sweetheart will still be my Evo...

no. I didn't get to do that, I wanted to butttt......? oh well, I know that its fun to drive and compared to the past MX-5's this is the best one yet. I wish we were a Mazdaspeed dealership so I could compare it to this yrs. mazdaspeed mx-5, but i heard it still wasn't as good as the new one.
anyways, right as of now, even with a clutch thats about to go anyday, my car is one of the most fun and forsure the fastest thing on our lots. and its still stock.
oh well i'll talk to ya later evo racer

It will be really interesting when the performance upgrades start to hit the streets for both these cars.
Speaking of the Elise, I saw one IRL today for the first time. It might not be extremely popular in New England because of the weather and road conditions. The MX-5 or GM's upcoming sports car cousins are more livable cars than the Elise.
