OK, last nite my friend bought a 06 Eclipse GT, I took it to the back roads where I usually take my EVO, welll after driving back and fort I am not impress with the car at all, I mean this car suppose to have 262 HP right? well I guess I was expecting more pull I can't feel no torque at all. On the corners its more stable than most FF car but still can't compare to Evo's AWD. Does anyone have the test specs for this car, 0-60 and the 1/4 mile. Anyone can make any comments. Thanks

 

0-60 is in the 6's and 1/4 is in the 14's or low 15's. It is a heavy car.

 

I think 0-60 is like 5.9 or 6.3, and quarter is like 14.8.

Nice car and I believe some test models have trapped 99-101mph in the 1/4 mile, so it's not that slow. The power may be much more linear than what you are use too, so it may not feel as fast. It should be able to hang with a 2003/2004 EVO VIII from a roll, but not a 2005 EVO VIII or a 2006 EVO IX. It's pretty heavy though for it's class and the handling is average compared to it's competition. Not sure how good it mods, but honestly if I had to choose I'd take the RSX Type S over it, maybe even that new Civic Si, although that's a bit of a stretch.

 

The only thing that I reallly like is the interior, looks so nice with the blue lights and leather heated seats are nice, the sound system is way better than an evo. But performance wise... its so so. Well thanks for all the input guys

 

I would die for an evo with the eclipse interior.......
