My friend sent me this link, and I have to say I'm impressed. I had no idea this car ever existed, but I'm a big fan. I'm guessing there are some other people here who are into the Starion/Conquest so I figured I'd share. Check it out.

The last ones built had 2.6 liter turbos IIRC. You could probably make tons of power with those now. They were pretty quick in their day though. Faster than a Lancer.
All of them had 2.6l turbocharged 4's in the US. Outside the US some had the 4g63. As I understand it the engine wasn't bad either, but the transmission and engine were both built for a light truck (I want to say the Mighty Max). So needless to say gearing is less than optimal for a sports car. At least that's what I've read. I never bothered to look into the gear ratios myself.

I'd take it in my driveway any day. Hell, if I had one i'd do a photoshoot with my girlfriend's brother's Delorean for a chuckle too. Originally Posted by TwoMix9900

3 are known to exhist now, as for the powerplant g54bt in all US models.
"japan models" had dash 2.0L (4g63 SOHC) for the first gen(flatside)
second gen(widebody) had g54bt, and availible in RHD or LHD.
these cars mod very well, parts arent really that hard to find just have to know where to look, what to do, how to do it.
i own 5 of these cars, 3 conquest 2 starions.
yes ima old skewl junkie stuck on RWD performance.
