True. They're not that much faster, but only slightly. The main difference is that they've got a lot of the STi stuf on them including the suspension parts (like suspension linkages etc.) and cool seats. The ECU is said to be slightly diffferently mapped. They're more collectors items rather than ultra-fast versions (although they are faster). You get a lot of Sti goodies on the car, high(er) flow cat and 18" BBS alloys, nicer looking wings than the normal Sti which in my case at least saves a lot of money!

 

I heard the s201 one was based on spec C. but all others(s202,s203,s204) were based on the Standart STI.

 

I can confirm that from the chassis codes, the 203 is based on the regular Sti. I've seen the 201 (raced it on the road in fact!!!) but can't confirm the chassis number etc.

I mean I just don't understand how some are so quick to jump boats, I mean this is how the game is played, Subaru throws a punch and Mitsubishi counters, Mitsubishi throws a punch and Subaru counters. Why be so quick to jump over to the other side, before Mitsubishi has even had a chance to counter. Even if this car did come to the USA, honestly for $41,000 if that is indeed the price, it's nothing that special, and if you just need to upgrade, then why not wait to see if Mitsubishi has something to offer in the near future which always seems to be slightly better than what Subaru offers in my opinion as far as performance goes.

ha, well that's your opinion and that's good. I personally believe it looks great and is alot more clean than the "video game" ricer wings you group it in with. Either way I'm jealous of anyone who has an S203 or an S204, or even more so a 22B.

S202 is For sure based on the Spec C platform....but very well might be the other way around.Not sure which debuted 1st?


The seats in that car alone (@least the S203 seats) would be more than any American would dare pay for so.... I can't see us getting the S204 (its still 2.0 i believe) except maybe a watered down version if anything.

Spec B Legacy is porbably the last of the "opitionly Sweet" car we see...and even still is had leather seats and no where near the motor "they" have.


Parts alone that come on that car I say a huge NO that it comes here.

 

nice s203 man, mad props to u for even having one clean the engine bay a bit though, it pains me to see a dirty engine bay on a car like the s203 but overall, the other pix of the car are just downright sexy, esp. the interior, esp. the seats (drool...)

The only difference between the two wings are the vertical supports. That's it. So because mine has the al support makes it look "video game crap" and the chunky plastic legs on the other one looks "clean"... whatever...

Sorry about the engine bay. It's not really as bad as it looks in the picture! I think it's because it was quite dark (taken around 2100 with only fairly dim neon lights in the garage) so I had to pump up the exposure correction loads so the read stuff appears to be coverd in gray dust or something....
