my brother has a cbr 929rr...he just put a power commander and 50 shot...he thinks that there is kno way in hell any evo could touch him even the 800hp ones....im asking anyone who knos about bikes, what would u estimate is 1/4 mile to be, and he is by no means a professional driver...he thinks he can do low 9s or high 8s and i find that hard to believe..?

 

if he is not a great driver he will most likely be in the mid to high 10's.....but just like a car, that 60ft. is everything.

it would take a very good driver and good tune to get him into the 9's with a 50shot for that bike.

 

If he was a good driver he could do low 10 stock.

Though launching a bike is very hard (at least for me it is). It would be possible though to hit 9s. Stock Busa can hit low 10s and sometimes high 9s with the mods. With a 50 shot he has more power then a busa and less weight. Planting that power is a differnt story though.

 

he wouldn't have more power than a turbo Busa or turbo gixxer 1000. i do predict if he could launch without standing it up, he could yield a high 9 but that's about it until he slaps on a turbo. there are turbo Busa's running 7's & 8's on street tires in FL...

 

Tell your brother you will challenge him in a tight twisty road, bikes will have difficulty cornering as fast as a car.

And do it after it just has rained .... with lots of pine needles.... going downhill.... in cold weather so his tires wont grip!

it's pretty safe to say your brother won't run across any EVO that will touch that bike when it's stock......not to mention with a power commander and NOS. Any car that runs in the 9's or under would have a chance of winning.....but there aren't many of those around the streets.

 

Tell him to race a 800hp supra on the highway and see who wins.

 

You'd have to find one first......there's like 5 of these in the world. 9 second streetbkes on the other hand can be had at every motorcycle dealer in the country for $11k.

 

There is DEFANITLY a lot more then five...

 

thats very true bout the supra they a deadly on a roll on . I was behind a 100hp shot busa against a 97 supra that dynoed 1026hp wheel the within seconds the supra was gone and the busa was jus slowly pullin away from me and my evo isn't no high hp evo maybe 400hp untuned at the most. Me agianst the supra from a dead stop i barely beat him due to the massive tire spin but when he passes me at the end if the 1/4 mile i'm guessing he's going about 50 mph faster at least if ur anywhere in my area ur bro and that supra can go at it. props for ur bro though call me a wussbut i wouldn't get on a bike with nos =)
