Starting the car thing this year. Definitely cost more than running the bike. Trying to do some track days with both this year and take it easy in my old age. The bike is soo much more fun, 173 hp @ 358lbs does keep me on my toes!

Nice bike! I was really close to going with an r6, but decided to go with the r1.

Currently the hottest exhaust out there for the 06 R6: Racefit Growler

My friend just crashed his new R6 on the track, which is the only place to really wring any power out of it. The bike slid around 30' and poof, up in flames. they said there was crazy sparks and even though the fairings were all still intact (lowside) a fuel line broke and up it went. I saw the bike tomight when I stopped at the dealer for parts and it is bad. it reminded me of Colin Edwards Aprilia GP Bike, the tank airbox and upper were black and the rest was pretty blue. Be Careful, I've seen hundreds of crashes and never anything like this.
