road in a 400hp wrx
I had lunch with Steve the owner of IAperformance(Specialist on Subarus) and I asked him why no one uses Cams on the Subarus. Well, if you take into consideration that it implies 18-20 hours of labor(you have to drop the engine) plus they cost somewhere between $950-1100 then we are talking about $2500 and up, and that is for a few whp.. not worth in my book.
As far is the block, yeah , I agree with you, the 2.5l block will make you everyday driving a heaven but still cost you a few thousand dollars and you will always be an underachiever(not as a person) and a shade of any STI
