There some mild understeer when taking twists too tight, but front-end bite is tenacious, overall balance seemingly neutral. A torque-sensing front limited-slip differential ensures that power is delivered efficiently throught the 215/45R18 Bridgestone RE050A's and a new torque-reduction system, which functions in first through third gear, nearly nullifies torque steer by reading steering angle, retarding engine spark via the ECU, and bleeding boost through the wastegate. Some torque steer still rears its head, but its of the gentle variety, more of a coax than a tug.
Although I think this will be an awesome car, I don't think I'd have one over a new Civic Si. You get a lot of bang for the buck, and it can manage its traction really well. Plus IMO, the Civic looks a lot better. I loved the CSi when I drove it; I can't wait to drive the MS3 and really compare them!
Just the few years ago, the acceleration level of the Evo and STi was just insane for the price range. Now there's the Cobalt SS, Caliber and Neon SRT-4, and the Mazdaspeed 3. Oh man that's crazy. Few mods and those cars will be taking out Evos from a roll. Not that it matters because it's either from a dig or on a track for it to be racing in my book.
