Possible 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix...

Looks sweet, if it does indeed look like that, then damn, a very nice looking car in my opinion. I really like the direction that GM is taking, much more than Ford. GM really is dedicated to offering customers performance, Ford just has the Mustang and continued slagging overall car sales.

Looks like a previous generation pontiac with a body kit. Not too flattering.

It's a step in the right direction. Kind of a 4-door GTO replacement.

The current Grand Prix GXP (top model) has 303 HP and weighs 3600 lbs. A replacement would probably have a marginally better power:weight; 360 HP and 3900 lbs.

It does need to be RWD though; too many cars in the same class already are.

I hate to be pesimistic, but I agree. GM has disappointed me time and again. ANY car that has appealed to me, they have declined. I can't see them approving this. I hope I'm wrong, for GM's sake. I'll keep my Evo.

its the new holden commodore. the brilliant designers of GM usa have to look elsewhere to come up with something good.

I like the look of the commodore better. At least it should be good if it is basically a non-US designed car.

I don't want to sound anti-American with that statement. I just feel there are too many people in this country that will blindly buy American because it's American and that keeps the big 3's standards relatively low for our market.

Gradually over the years more people have been waking up to that fact and is why their sales have slumped in the car market. I hope they do get it together and turn out some nice stuff. I'd love to be able to use my manufacturer discount to buy something I actually want.

I saw that thing when I got my issue of MT in the mail last week and almost fell out of my chair. If GM releases it, there will definitely be one sitting in my driveway.

That is a hot looking car.....better than the GTO.

+1. People are finding that they can get a better product for the same money elsewhere. That's why I just bought a Japanese car last year instead of an American one.

I prefer to buy American, but money talks and bullsh*t walks. I work hard for my money and I'm buying the best product for it.

you hit the nail on the head. i'd rather buy all american too, but it's so rare to find something made with quality in the US these days, save the local shops (and those are usually small goods and services). wal-mart might as well be called the chinese emporium. and when it comes to big things like cars, well, they haven't made anything that appeals to me or has as much value as japanese/german vehicles.
