You're doing the project I've been wanting to for about 4 years now. It is next to near impossible to find a 2 door anywhere near here though. The 510 really started interesting me when I was helping a friend strip one to restore in 2000.

I always thought it would be cool to drop in an RB, tub it and trun it into a drag car. I think if you notched the firewall you could get it to fit. I've seen a few with the old 240Z in line 6's in them. So, It seems possible.

Anyway cool project. All the parts look beautiful except that exhaust manifold. Those look like some bubble gum welds.

Awesome project!

You should check out Long Beach Blue Pearl from the Acura NSX.

Check out this thread for more pics of that color: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showt...highlight=blue

^ I like that color. Your project is just about the coolest I've seen in a while. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

What about Sonic Blue from the 99-2000 Civic SI's?

And the M3 blue is garbage. You could crash that thing in a pool and nobody would EVER find it.

Edit: Just saw the NSX blue, that is the best by far.

I have to agree on both the Skyline and NSX blues being much nicer looking than the original options.

Imola Blue is terrible. It just looks old and flat no matter how new or polished it is.

The G35 blue is not my favorite blue either.

hey Bimmubishi and specs on your motor?
Naj- Thats a siccck color..i have never really seen that thanks!
scorke- i dont know if its the lighting or what but that paint doesnt give off a kick like the others no offence.
hotrod2448 - Yeah Luckily theres many dimes out here in cali..and ihappen to find a MINT original owner granny car hehe. RB26 CAN be done..my friend has a 510 shell with a notched firewall ready for a 350 or RB swap(FS btw) Also...the mani came that way..i ordered it form Enjukuracing(which specializes in 240 parts) reason I had to go with this manifold is becuase its "log style" which I need to clear the steering box.

I will be sure to include updates, Im trying to go for a new school JDM look(all new top of the line parts) fused with a old school japanese legend.

BTW I am thinking or powdercoating my wilwood claipers gold...any opinions? (blue car, bronze wheels..gold calipers?) Thanks!

That's going to be a sick project and ride. If it were my car, I would keep it all black with old school Work wheels and keep it a sleeper.

But anyway...go with the NSX blue. It will look better IMO.

What's your buddy want for his dime with the notched firewall? What type of shape is it in?

I'm with you on the style of the manifold I was just commenting on that weld with the really tall bead. I do some fabricating and it just stuck out to me. Either way I'm jealous that you are getting to do the project I've been thinking about. You suck.
