Are you keeping sotck body on it or any exterior aero stuff like fender flares and such that you would see on the 71 GTR ?

UPDATE-
still in paint, having all the side markers, door locks, emblems, mirror holes, antenna, etc shaved. GOing for a plain clean look. I only put a G down..and hopefully santa will pick up the rest of the tab for my x-mas present**cross fingers** Heres some recent shots of my motor All ready to go in!



JUst got the valve cover back from powdercoat and I found a guy who does a GREAT job for CHEEP. He did mine for $40 shipped!!! He just does small parts so if you have something needed coating his email is; small_batch_coatings@yahoo.com tell him stew sent ya. Will get pics as soon as shes back from the body shop

Nice! ... I cant wait to see more pics. Your 510 project made me get fired up that I finally started on my 240Z project ... I started stripping the car this past weekend to get it ready for Media Blasting / Acid Bath

 

^ NICE!!!!! When I get this project done, a 240 z car is next on my list. Blown LS1, or all motor ls7. 4" flares on the back and 305's. : whats going in yours?

Only have spent 4 hours on it ... more work on this Sat.

As for the car its staying all Nissan ... as I was think SR20 for a little but want to stick with the inline 6 so Im gong to suck it up and go with the RB26DETT with RB20 Tranny. Still debating on the color but will have full ZG Fender flares and running some 17x9 and 17x9.5 wheels with -19 and -16 offsets (can you say dish!) ... Full 5 lug conversion, coilovers, AZ Z car willwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear big brake kit, different rear end, new guages, welded roll bar, new CF bucket seats, CF hood, fuel cell, and everything else stock looking (interior and exterior wise). Its a huge project Im estimating 2 year build time and will probly unveil it at SEMA ...

In the end it will hopefully look as nice as this:

what is the motor setup, i know its a blacktop, but what is done internally?

im running a notchtop with valvesprings/retainers, tomei cams, rockerarm stoppers, and cp pistons with a gt3076r making 437 on pump so you should be able to make the same

oh and my car is painted the silverstone 350z color too

M3this- I have seen that car around the net...its is definetly the hottest Z car I have ever seen IMO.
But since I am going all JDM on the dime....NEXt project(z car) will be all business, domestic muscle and pure speed. If you wanna stick import, id say RB26Det FTW!

forum04pl- You have a 510 with an sr20 painted 350z siver? Or a 240sx? Im running stock internals, but greddy 1.2mm headgasket, arp studs, HKS stage 1 264/264, greddy RAS's. My goal is 400whp on pump. What PSI do you run yours? What EMS? flash or standalone? Thanks guys, stew

 

its a 96 240.. its on 21psi and on a apexi power fc standalone. you should be fine with that setup to make 400 on pump, the only problem is going to be traction. i dont get traction till mid third sometimes depending on the temp with sticky tires and im assuming that a 510 is way lighter than a 240
