uh.. i mentioned rx-7 but i got flamed b/c someone says that it's unreliable?....
now the rx-8 = also rotary engine....
what is this?..
btw= on the rx8 my cousin has it, it drives pretty nice... handles great, not too bad for the leg room ,etc. it fits him (over 300lbs)... lol.... I know...
it's pretty fast but not that great on gas mileage at all..
but it's a good choice.

get a 07 GTi, 07 MS3 or 07 WRX.

RX8 look fast and unique but are slow. Rather get a used s2000 or 350z.

i would love to get a WRX but insurance would kill me.. RX8 are a lil slow but i think its the right car for me cuz i can get for under $20k with low low miles and i can fit 4 people... two people in the back is gonna be very unhappy...hahah

GTI.. not feeln the HATCH

rx8 and the 350z got the same time on the track
s2000 can only fit 2 people..
ms3... didnt look into it..

right now im going towards the Rx8 hopefully RED ; )

You could get into an 05 Evo for low 20's...but the maintenace on these cars is nothing to overlook. If I was you I would look for a slightly used WRX but I understand the insurance is high.

I would personally choose the RX8 over the 350z. The RX8 isn't as fast but IMHO it handles much better. I was not impressed with the Z.

I used to work at a chevy dealer myself but i quit before the upgrades for the Cobalts came out. What kind of gain are these cars seeing? and what are the different stages and prices? I was just curious bc i know that dodge offers those three stages for the neon and chevy needed to do something to keep up....although i think the neon packages have greater power gains.....that would be my guess.

Have you got a rate quote for a used 03 EVO? If u have no tickets and a clean record you might be able to afford it. I got my evo in 04 with 42000 miles for $20,000 FLAT! oh plus tax.

Right - many say the RX8 is slow.. and that's true - in a straight line. But the handeling really makes up for it and makes it just as fast on the track or autocross.

In fact - last year when I was autocrossing in my RX8 my time was FASTER than a 350Z - and that was like my second time ever.

Another guy with an RX8 in BStock class was just a fraction (within 1 second) of a Lotus Elise. That should tell you something.

I really enjoyed mine and had no problems with it. I sold it. But now I'm wanting an EVO because.. well... it's faster.

I can't stand idle while you decide to buy the Rx-8. I want you to know some things...

1) Are you familiar with the rotary engine? You wanted the Evolution for a reason. There is little aftermarket support in the form of big power gains. Also, can you live with the bad gas mileage?

2) If you are new to the manual transmission, this is not the car to start with. Flooding the rotary has been a growing problem.

Engine flooding is when excess fuel goes into your engine (correct me if I'm wrong). Flooding in the 13B Rx-8 rotary is common, and can end in costly repairs.

Not something a driver wants in his new car.
